Crowd Feels Good About Hearing the Blues
Villa Blues and Jazz was the featured band at the concert in Coeur d’Alene Park on Thursday, July 13. They are aptly described as “sultry vintage blues and jazz” and it was so true. Listeners were enthralled as Heather Villa soothed the audience with her dynamic voice while Michael Lenke walked among the crowd and teased them with his trumpet. Meanwhile, Brian Flick and Eugene Japlonsky maintained the ambience with guitar and bass. Couples danced the swing as the music led them along the park paths. The weather was warm, the music was easy, and the crowd was relaxed as the evening sounds of blues and jazz floated through the trees and beyond.
The next band will be Sidetrack, another concert favorite, with a little bit of everything from rock-n-roll to slow waltz. 6:00-8:00. Coeur d’Alene Park. Browne’s Addition. Every Thursday until August 24th.
